HFC Autumn conference on 7 November 2011

HFC has been in existence for over four years, and during that period a great deal has been achieved. HFC wants to share the results of its initiatives with its participants. In addition to reviewing past achievements we will also be looking to the future and discussing how we, the financial industry, can continue to create jobs and opportunities, and above all how we can fully utilise those opportunities.

Speaking on behalf of the HFC knowledge centres – the Centre for Finance & Sustainability and the Centre for Retirement Management - Lex Hoogduin and Pieter Kiveron will explain some of the initiatives that can serve as a catalyst for sustainable economic growth and help us to seize opportunities abroad.
The final of the Finance Battle will provide an active intermezzo, with the conference guests serving as the jury. The Finance Battle is organised by StudentsMedia and the Duisenberg School of Finance. Three finalist teams will compete for the title of the most innovative idea for the financial industry.

Sjoerd van Keulen will conclude the afternoon. As the chairman of HFC and the Government's Headquarters Top Team, he will share his vision of the prospects and opportunities for the Netherlands. Good cooperation between the government, the market, and the scientific community, as well as a mutual sense of trust and confidence are of vital importance in this respect.

The HFC Autumn Conference will start at 15.30 on Monday 7 November 2011, in ABN AMRO’s headquarters in the Zuidas district of Amsterdam.
