ESG USA 2011

HFC was present at both the Responsible Investor conference organised by ESG USA 2011 and the MSCI’s round table discussion “Integrating ESG Into Mainstream Investment Processes”.

The conference, which took place at Bloomberg's headquarters, was fully booked and was attended by 300 participants. ESG, an acronym for Environmental, Social and Governance, covers the entire range of sustainable investments. Marcel Jeucken (PGGM) was the keynote speaker, and Gerard van Baar (HFC) took part in the panel, explaining the unique nature of the Green Investment Corporation.

MSCI’s round table discussion was a closed session involving fifteen different parties, including HFC participants such as PGGM, Black Rock, Deutsche Bank, Towers Watson and State Street, as well as UNPRI and UBS . Responsible Investor is drafting a paper on the discussion, which will be published soon.
