Centre for Finance & Sustainability
Thé knowledge centre of finance and sustainability
The Centre for Climate and Sustainability, an initiative of HFC, will focus on the promotion and marketing of sustainable financing across the board, including:
- Sustainable investment
- The financing of sustainable projects
- The financing of the transition to sustainable energy and clean tech
- The trading and financing of carbon emission rights and alternative energy
The Centre for Finance and Sustainability will concentrate on knowledge related to these specific issues and act as a gateway on behalf of the financial industry. In conjunction with the Duisenberg School of Finance, the Centre has also taken the lead in setting up a specific degree course in Finance and Sustainability. This course will be integrated into the existing Master’s programme, and as from 2011 will also be offered as a separate executive module. The Duisenberg School of Finance also intends to carry out a systematic assessment of all current research into finance and sustainability and will expand and build on this research in order to strengthen its role as a knowledge centre.
